The Address, Downtown, Dubai
The location and reasons to visit:
The Address Hotel is located in Downtown Dubai, right next to the Dubai Mall and
opposite The Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (2014). Dubai itself
is a cultural mix of people that co-exist in peace. Although it’s a Muslim country,
people are very tolerant of Westerners drinking alcohol, as long as it’s confined
to hotels. It’s always best to do some research of the culture of places that you
visit, to understand what is acceptable regarding clothes to wear, how couples can
behave in public, etc.
Review of The Address, Downtown, Dubai:
This is a really good hotel. I would recommend a Club room, since this gives access
to the Executive Club lounge, where breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals
are served and are included in the price of the room, as is alcohol, from 6pm until
Service in the hotel is excellent, particularly in the Club lounge, where everyone
knows your name pretty quickly after you arrive.
The Club rooms are large and are kept immaculately clean.
There are two poor things about the hotel. In the room, the noise from toilets being
flushed or from showers being used in other rooms is excessive. Also when I was
there, building work at the hotel caused excessive noise from early morning until
late evening. Very poor.
