Hong Kong and The Peninsula Hotel
The location and reasons to visit:
Hong Kong. A fascinating and very safe place. The tram ride up to The Peak is a
must, as is the ferry across the bay, between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Watch
out for hawkers on the waterfront area of Kowloon, offering fortune reading. Kowloon
is great to walk around, but then do take a ferry at a very cheap price, across the
bay to Hong Kong Island.
Review of the Peninsula Hotel, Hong Kong:
The Peninsula Hotel is, for me, the best hotel in Hong Kong, actually being located
in Kowloon, across the bay. The food and service are impeccable. If possible, go
for a harbour view room, to see the laser display from lasers mounted on the top
of hotels and skyscrapers that happens every night for 15 minutes, starting at 20:00
The Peninsula Hotel is located within walking distance of the ferry terminal and
many of Kowloons attractions.
The people who work in the hotel are multilingual and extremely helpful. Nothing
is too much trouble and a late check out at 18:00 hours was organised without drama
at no cost. If I return to Hong Kong I would not consider staying at any other hotel.
