The Armani Hotel, Dubai

The location and reasons to visit:

The Armani Hotel is situated in the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The building is truly iconic and is a work of art in every way. The view of the Dubai Fountain from the Mediteraneo restaurant, the Armani Lounge, the 3rd floor bar and the rooms, many of which overlook the fountain, is spectacular. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Dubai Mall. The best time to visit is Northern Hemisphere winter time, where day time temperatures fall to 26 degrees C. Summer temperatures are over 50 degrees C.

Review of the Armani Hotel, Dubai:

Excellent in every way. The first point worthy of note is the calm, relaxed, but efficient atmosphere that pervades the whole hotel and is present in every one of the people who work there.  It’s interesting to be in a hotel, in a building, that thousands of people are taking pictures of, every day. However security for the Armani is very tight, so no one who isn’t staying at the hotel gets anywhere near it, either walking or by car, so the feeling of exclusivity is retained.

The decoration is elegant and restrained, both in common areas and in the high-tec rooms. I had an executive suite on the 39th floor, overlooking the Dubai Fountain, which was particularly spectacular at night. The food and service in all parts of the hotel are of the highest possible standard.

I preferred the bar on the 3rd floor, with more modern music, in the evening, but others may prefer the quieter music in the Armani Lounge. This is one of the best hotels in the world, in my experience. Truly spectacular. The hotel cars are a Bentley Continental, a Maserati and a Range Rover. I chose the Maserati for a transfer to the next destination in Dubai.
