Al Maha Desert Resort Dubai

The location and reasons to visit:

The Al Maha desert resort is about ¾ of an hour’s drive outside Dubai. It’s a beautiful conservation resort consisting of beautiful villas, many overlooking the desert with views of the Hajar Mountains in the distance.

Review of the Al Maha Desert Conservation Resort, Dubai:

Wonderful people, excellent food and great service. It’s a full-board resort so it’s just alcoholic drinks that need to be paid for and I think soft drinks too, although water is free.

The evening meals in the restaurant are fine dining, which is great if you are staying there for maybe three nights. I stayed for nine nights and had room service (all included in the room price), which was hot and expertly presented.

Activities included in the price are Wildlife Drives, Horse Riding, Nature Walks, Desert Safaris, Archery, Falconry, Camel Trekking and others.

Children under 10 years of age aren’t allowed at the resort, which leads to a feeling of quiet relaxation there.

Overall, a wonderful place to visit. I went in the month of December so temperatures averaged about 28 degrees over the time I was there.
